Picture a home in your style before buying

A home may have the right rooms but furniture you would never choose. An empty room can be hard to picture too. A room-design tool can help you try a different look while keeping the original photo beside it.
Sedam Staging is a photo-based room design and virtual staging tool made by Sedam Intelligence. Home buyers can try furniture, decor and paint ideas. Realtors can also share property photos with clients. You do not need to be an agent to use it.
What the research tells us
In its 2025 survey, the National Association of REALTORS® found that 83% of buyers’ agents said staging made a home easier for buyers to picture as a future home. This is feedback from agents about staging in general. It is not a test of Sedam, proof of AI accuracy or a promise that staging will change a buying decision. Read the NAR study.
Start with one room and one question
For example: “Would a lighter style make this living room feel more like me?” Start with a clear photo showing the whole room. Choose one change first so you can tell what made a difference.
- Add a photo. Name the space after the home or room so you can find it later.
- Choose what to change. Add furniture to an empty room, change furniture, add decor or try a wall colour.
- Choose a look. Pick a style card and add a short note about what matters to you.
- Compare the original and result. Check the room itself before judging the new furniture.
A simple example
Imagine two homes with very different furniture. Try the same style in each living room. Ask to keep the walls, windows and floor. This can help you separate the seller’s taste from your own. It does not make the photos a measured floor plan.
After each image, note one thing you like and one thing to check in person. For example: “I like a small dining table here. I need to measure the space behind the chairs.”
What an AI image cannot tell you
A generated sofa is not proof that a specific sofa will fit. Check measurements, access and walking space yourself. A picture also cannot tell you the condition of wiring, pipes or the building. Keep those questions separate from decorating ideas.
Sedam’s decorating tools check the result against the original and the change you requested. Review both images yourself. Renovation ideas have their own area: they show possible changes, not proof that a wall can be moved or a project can be built.
If your agent sends a link
Open the property, choose one of the attached photos and pick what you want to change. You do not need to upload that photo again. New images use the allowance your agent has made available. Viewing saved images is free.
Try it before paying

Using an image in a listing?
Choose “For a property listing.” Those images keep a virtual staging label and the original photo. Follow the rules for the place where you post. Personal design images and renovation ideas are not for property listing pages.
